Homeland Security

Dear reader:

I am stirred when I hear "Homeland Security". It leads to the next stir of my heart which I cannot escape. "Homeland Security starts with you."

As a personal protection specialist educating girls, teens and women to prevent, prepare, expect -the likely hood of a sexual assault for themselves or someone they love, one of the largest nails I tend to hammer into their minds is: "YOU, are responsible for your own safety." Not your significant other, your family, your job, your dog, friend, etc. Don't get me wrong, this network in motion helps to stack the cards in your favor- in the likelihood an assault. Murphy's Law however tends to prove that responsibility is in the hands of the individual. Individual by individual.

I am allotting a portion of this website as well as my educator platforms to speak on behalf of myself, Heather MonDee. Not speaking for my affiliates, instructors, business contacts, associates etc. unless they in their own free will note otherwise. Not to endorse or demean any religious group, political party, organization or nationality. Simply to speak from my heart and passion, hoping in some way individual by individual, it might be true we can make a difference in our community. By pledging to directly be responsible for "Community Homeland Security" to our personal spheres of influence.

As your lead...in your family. As your lead...in your business-if it is appropriate. Maybe your are in a position of authority or influence? As your lead... in your friends, in your hobbies, in your activities... to be mindful of our country. When I think of the task of "Homeland Security" at the government and intelligence levels, I cant help feel some sense of obligation and responsibility in thought, word and when necessary-deed from me. This in turn is my small way of contributing.

As simple as the plan is demonstrated above for prevention of sexual assault.. so it is for "community homeland security."

Our pledge should come from a personal sense of responsibility and then to reach out with a network in motion to stack the cards in our nations favor. Individual by individual.

This pledge requires no money. It requires simply, a decision you will or will not make after putting your eyes to this letter.

Please take a moment to consider this pledge. And reply if you are committed to it. Word of mouth your pledge to invite others to commit to making a difference in their sphere of influence.

Sincerely,
Heather MonDee

I will in thought word and if necessary deed, promote Homeland Security in my personal sphere of influence by:

  • Supporting my countries leadership. (President, Staff and Congress)
  • Supporting intelligence agencies, and military.
  • Being aware of my surroundings and receptive to my intuition or gut feelings in situations. Respond as needed, no matter the cost. Know agencies to report any situation to.
  • Openly communicate with family a plan of action that you have decided to follow.
  • Address fear with children, in an age appropriate and loving way.
  • Listen to those in my sphere of influence and promote productive conversations and outcomes as regards to terrorism, our President and leadership on all levels. National, state and local.
  • Keep abreast of news down the pipeline, filtering anything that spreads fear. Educate self and network.
